This week, HEX hit go on a global sprint of ideas, impact, and energy with the launch of the Study Australia Entrepreneurship Challenge.
Designed for over 100 high school students from India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh, this virtual program isn’t your average classroom experience, it’s a launchpad for young thinkers ready to tackle real-world problems and build what's next.
In collaboration with the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), the challenge unites a bold crew of future founders, builders, and changemakers for a month-long online cohort learning experience, followed by an exciting day of in-person pitching in their own cities. It’s built not just to sharpen skills, but to create real cross-border connections, enabling students to meet, collaborate, and interact with peers from across the region. It’s fast, hands-on, and globally connected, just like the future of education should be.
Part of the broader Study Australia initiative, the challenge reflects a national commitment to connecting international learners with world-class education and opportunity.
Real-World Learning, Startup Style
This isn’t about textbooks or tests. The Study Australia Entrepreneurship Challenge gives students:
✅ A crash course in startup thinking
✅ Real-world problems to solve
✅ Mentorship from experienced innovators
✅ A chance to pitch their ideas in person and meet and interact with students across borders
With design thinking, customer validation, business modelling, and storytelling all on the table, this is where ideas get real.

Mentorship That Moves the Needle
Every student team is backed by startup-savvy mentors who bring the heat, helping them sharpen their ideas, build with empathy, and pitch with power.
We’re not just dropping knowledge, we’re co-creating moments where students discover what they’re truly capable of.
Future-Focused and Borderless
HEX has always been about creating brave pathways for the next generation. We back students with the mindset, skills, and network to lead, no matter where they’re starting from.
This challenge reflects that ethos. It brings South Asian students together across borders and backgrounds to collaborate, connect, and step into their leadership potential.
For many, it’s their first dive into startup land, and we know from experience that’s often where the spark begins.
You can also find HEX on the Australian EdTech Directory, where we’re recognised for building real-world, future-ready programs that shift what education can be.
What’s Next?
The challenge is underway, and the vibe is electric. Teams are dreaming up solutions, testing bold ideas, and getting ready to pitch their hearts out.
This is what future-focused learning looks like: creative, cross-cultural, and community-driven.
We’re stoked to lead this with Austrade and proud to be a part of these students’ startup stories.
Let’s build the future, the HEX way.
