At HEX, innovation education is grounded in practice.
This approach was brought to life in Vietnam through the launch of TEISA (TET Entrepreneurship Innovation Startup Advantage), a new innovation and entrepreneurship initiative for Vietnamese universities, delivered in collaboration with TET Education Group and Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM), with HEX supporting the program’s learning design and delivery.

A landmark moment for innovation education in Vietnam
On January 26, TEISA was launched alongside the opening of the VNU-HCM Innovation Hub, marking an important milestone in Vietnam’s higher education innovation landscape.
As the education partner supporting TEISA’s Innovation and Startup modules, HEX worked closely with TET and VNU-HCM to help shape the learning design and delivery approach, drawing on established innovation education practices to support experiential, future-focused learning within the university context.
HEX supports the first TEISA innovation demo class at VNU-HCM
Rather than launching through formal presentations, TEISA was introduced through hands-on learning.
HEX’s industry-experienced educators, Tuong Tran, Lin Huynh, and Dr Ha Nguyen, facilitated the first TEISA-powered demo class at the VNU-HCM Innovation Hub to over 20 students and academic staff, also the first official program organised by the Hub itself. The session demonstrated an experiential approach to innovation education, emphasising participation, collaboration, and real-world application.

Key Outcomes from the First HEX-Led TEISA Demo Class
The session provided students and lecturers with an opportunity to experience HEX’s hands-on learning model, which included:
- Creative warm-ups designed to encourage innovative thinking
- Practical experimentation with AI tools
- Team-based problem solving focused on real-world challenges in AI, education, and graduate employability
- Interactive formats such as live polling, open discussion, Q&A, and collaborative teamwork
Engagement throughout the session was high, with students actively participating and contributing ideas. Two teams were recognised for their collaboration and problem-solving approaches, reinforcing the importance of experimentation and teamwork in innovation learning.
One of the participants, Phuc Source shared “The workshop focused on AI tools experimentation and real-world problem solving around education and graduate job readiness.
Through interactive team challenges, creative warm-ups, and live collaboration, we experienced innovation as practice, not just concept.”

Proving the demand for experiential innovation education
Student engagement and participation highlighted a growing appetite for experiential, future-focused innovation education among Vietnamese university learners.
The session also demonstrated HEX’s ability to adapt global innovation frameworks to a local context, supporting learning experiences that are both relevant and practical for students preparing for the future of work.
Strengthening HEX’s presence in Vietnam
TEISA, powered by HEX, is the second initiative within TET’s Advantage ecosystem, following TET Work Advantage (TWA), with additional programs currently in development.
For HEX, this collaboration represents a meaningful step in building relationships within Vietnam’s higher education sector and supporting institutions that are exploring new approaches to innovation, entrepreneurship, and employability education.
Looking ahead
HEX remains committed to working with education partners who are seeking practical, outcomes-driven learning experiences that complement traditional academic programs.
The success of the first TEISA demo class at VNU-HCM highlights the potential of hands-on innovation education when universities, education providers, and industry partners work together.
HEX Vietnam Country Director Tuong Tran shared his excitement about the collaboration:
“The Vietnamese government is reforming Vietnam’s education system to create the future innovators and leaders of tomorrow through innovation, industry based learning, and internationalised education to support ambitious economic growth targets.
TET Education has already been bringing global education to Vietnamese learners for many years. To have the opportunity to work with them as well as one of Vietnam’s most prestigious universities in VNU-HCMC will allow this type of innovation education to be provided to many of Vietnam’s brightest young talent. We couldn’t be more excited about this collaboration.”Â
