Something very HEX is brewing in Ho Chi Minh City.
HEX has officially partnered with DPI, one of Vietnam’s most respected creative training centres, to launch a bold new program that brings together design education and global innovation thinking.
In a recent signing ceremony, Jeanette Cheah (CEO of HEX) and Thao Cao (Director at DPI) came together to mark the start of this exciting partnership, one built on a shared mission to empower Vietnam’s next generation of creative thinkers, makers, and leaders.

Not just making things look good, Making things that work
DPI students already know how to think visually. Now, they’ll learn how to think like founders, build like startups, and lead like innovators.
This new program blends creativity with real-world application:
• 2 weeks of online learning covering innovation, digital fluency, and future-of-work skills
• 3 days of in-person immersion in Ho Chi Minh City to test, build, and pitch real ideas
It’s not just about adding skills to a portfolio, it’s about building the confidence and mindset to design change.
A New Chapter for Vietnam’s Design Talent
This isn’t just a skills upgrade. It’s a mindset shift.
The creative industry is evolving fast, and today’s students need more than great design chops. They need to know how to build, adapt, and lead in a world that’s constantly changing.
That’s exactly what this collaboration delivers.
With DPI’s deep roots in creative education and HEX’s global innovation ecosystem, we’re giving students the tools to go beyond execution, and become creative decision-makers.
Part of a bigger movement across Vietnam
This partnership is one piece of a growing puzzle.
Over the past year, HEX has been laying foundations across Vietnam, not just through programs, but through people. Our team joined forces with Van Lang University for a cultural exchange that blended learning, laughter, and a few surprise dance moves. We’ve stood alongside government leaders during the Global Victoria Southeast Asia mission, spotlighting Vietnam’s rising talent on an international stage. And through programs like HEX High Ho Chi Minh City, we’ve already seen the incredible innovation energy coming out of Vietnamese classrooms.
This collaboration with DPI is the next chapter, fusing creative education with entrepreneurial tools to help Vietnam’s young designers not just participate in the future, but lead it.
